The Collegiate Chapter of St Peter and St Paul was founded in around 1070 by Duke Vratislaus II (reign period from 28 January 1061 to 14 January 1092), from 1085 on the first King of Bohemia and the titular King of Poland, one of the most important rulers of the Czech history in the Middle Ages.
